The future is uncertain, but God will make provision for His children.  Yes, there could be something in the horizon in regards to a “plan” just as Joseph had a plan to save God’s people during the 7 years of famine.  It’s not our job, however, to figure out this plan.  God makes the plans; we just have to follow them.  It’s clear that God is teaching all of us to grow in our respective lives, working on what needs to be fixed and refined.  I can’t help feeling excited by how everyone is growing and changing.  Only God can do that and it’s amazing how He ministers to each and every one of us.

Then I got in the car and drove to work.  Didn’t turn on the CD player.  I usually don’t.  About 2 minutes into driving, I began to hear something.  I looked around.  To my utter surprise, the CD play in my car turned on and a song began to play from the beginning.  Realizing that God must have turned it on I said, “Guess God wants me to hear this song… wonder which one it is.”  Then the chorus came with words like “Holy, holy, holy.  God most high and God most worthy.”  I was like “Wow.  That’s what God was revealing to us yesterday during our worship!”  He was confirming what He shared with us yesterday through this song.  Here’s a link to the song:

The Lord reminded me, as I go through each day following a routine of work and helping the kids, that certain things may not “happen” or appear to us as we would like them and when we would like. As I washed dishes tonight I felt a very strong touch of the Holy Spirit and I heard the Spirit say “Read the Bible!”.  I distinctly remember the feeling of the anointing of the Spirit as I heard the voice.  It felt like something pouring over my head that had a slight electric charge.   I felt that this message was not just for me, but for all of us.  We need to be grounded in the Bible.

If the kids have journals, then so should we – we shouldn’t be afraid to set an example for them and each other.  Let’s diligently read the Word, chapter by chapter, taking notes and writing down our questions and issues and also our revelations as we learn new things.

There is one thing that I realize is true about recognizing a “true” prophet.  They will always tell you to go and read the Bible and pray in order to confirm what they have received from the Lord – knowing that a heart that truly seeks the Lord will eventually find the truth.
